An Adventure Story

I have never done anything like this before. Most of my stories have been romance and dramas.

My husband and I agree that I don’t write nearly enough, so the idea here is for him to place upon me some deadlines in order to motivate me to write again. So, with that in mind, I’ve started on an adventure story.

I’m looking into writing an adventure story about a girl who lives with her aunt and her cousin who is a few years younger than her. She finds out that her aunt had escaped with her when she was very young. Her mom had been left behind. The girl decides to go back to save her mother.
There are a few things that I want to flesh out a bit more. I want some type of global conflict for them. The aunt and mom need to have been resisting or battling something so that they had something to attempt to escape from. The girl will become the new generation of the resistance.
